Doorskin repairs the broken bottom section of your bifold door so the pivot pin holds again. No cutting custom wood. No full door replacement.
WHAT
"I have a bunch of bi-fold doors throughout the house and I seem to be forever replacing them."
— homeowner, online forum
WE
"These doors are usually garbage. I'm always repairing them."
— landlord, online forum
HEAR
"I tried all the fixes — glue, screws — didn't hold up and just had to buy a new door. The crappy part was repainting the whole damn thing."
— DIYer, online forum
How it works
Step 1 — Take the door off
Lift the bottom of the door, slide the pivot pin out of the floor bracket, and lay the door flat.
Step 2 — Remove the broken section.
Pull or clip away the damaged MDF and the old plastic insert until you have a clean cavity. The install card shows exactly what to remove and where to stop.
Step 3 — Slide Doorskin in. Glue, clamp, and reinstall the pin.
Light coat of super glue on each side. Slide the insert into the cavity. Clamp until the glue sets. Reinstall the pivot pin and hang the door.
